That looks interesting, but I have room for something bigger ;) like I said... 80x80x75 as a max.. the existing one is 80x80x60, but as I don't have the stock psu in the case I have a bit more room ;)

I recently purchased a Soltek EQ3801 barebones system to build around... I know its not the best form factor for cooling, but I have to keep the wife happy (to some extent ;)) http://www.soltek.com.tw/soltek/product...B9A-FGR&qisbn_st=EQ3801&pro=QbicII.jpg I've put in it a AMD64 2800+...

if you bought a 2600+ then yes that's right :) it'll show as 480MB ram as the board has onboard video which shares system ram... in the bios there should (most likely) be a option to set how much ram it can use... your's right now is set on 32MB. Once my replacement case gets here I'll let you...

OK... gotcha :) I haven't used anything newer than my a7n8x so this is new to me... do most atx power supplies come with that extra connector? I'd check the psu I'm going to use... but it just got picked by fedex to be delivered back to mwave for replacement... had a nice dent in the side when...

How can you say athlon xps require more power than the normal atx connector gives... I have 2 machines running right now... one with a 1600+ XP, other with a 2600+ XP... one has a Asus A7V8X and the other has a Asus A7N8X Deluxe... neither motherboard has the p4 connector.... I really doubt that...

Hmm... do you think this board will be ok powered by just a normal atx psu (no P4 connector) if its just a 1600+, 256MB ram, dvdrom, hdd, and fdd? (no extra boards)

I got mine friday (just got back from visiting family)... put the 2600+ (definitely a tbred, not barton) in my a7n8x deluxe and its working like a dream :) Haven't tried the mobo yet... I ordered a case at the same time (planning to build a pc for my neice) and it arrived with a decorative DENT...

I received my tracking numbers yesterday for the bits I ordered (building a little pc for my neice... good thing she won't know when I swap the 2600 for one of my 1600s :D (she's only 11 ;)) Trying to resist buying another... are the prices for the 2800 and 3000 hot? According to pricewatch...

Picked up a 2600 and mobo for $92 incl shipping to NY. Pricewatch quotes $83 for just the cpu alone. This will be perfect for the pc I'm building for my neice (once I swap the cpu with the 1600 in my pc ;);))

Ethernet over Power (EoP)?

I live in a old house... my cable modem is in the downstairs back room... which doesn't have the second story on top, this means the signal has to go through 2 sets of insulation, 1 wall, and a metal roof to get upstairs (which is where I want to move my computers). I was hoping to use EoP to...
