Okay here's my scoop on this Thing after alot of testing. The audio to me isn't a concern.
I can narrate the picture with my own voice or easily record a person's speech from close or faraway.
No distortion. Video is also good. Camera's Built in light works fine indoors.

They list the Sony DCR-TRV350 or DCR-TRV250 ( D8 format)
at $500 as the "Best Buy"...

Seems to have generally good reviews as an entry level camcorder
on circuitcity.com. Good buy for those on a budget.
Don't know if it's going to be eclipsed by another model but FYI the Olympus 5050 ($620 street price) rated at the top of the 5 megapixel cameras just below the Nikon 5700 ($890 street price)) in November's Consumer Reports magazine.

Just called Fry's here in San Diego (San Marcos store) tonight (friday) got a quote of $29.95 in stock.
This morning's 2 page Fry's ad didn't give the price. just that it would be in by 4pm :(
Can anyone confirm or deny that this OEM "suite" includes Nero Express 6?
of course it has the core Nero 6 CD burning Rom.
But from the posts I read that Nero Express 6 is not listed on the install menu.
Other Posts imply Nero Express 6 is included.
