    Question Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360

I'm limited to a 40mm thick radiator if I want to mount the fans directly to the radiator. A 40mm radiator with high density fin count theoretically provides the greatest heat dissipation ability. One can calculate the heat dissipation potential of liquid knowing the flow rate. One can do the...

    Question Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360

Again, the Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360 is copper with a brass tank. It is 40mm thick. I have 65mm clearance in the case. With a 25mm fan I have just enough clearance. Apparently Thermaltake contaminated your Cheerios with uric acid.

    Question Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360

Thermaltake's site indicates that the Pacific CLD 360 is a copper build with a brass tank.

    Question Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360

Thanks I would think that a 40mm radiator with high density fins would require a more powerful fan than a 25mm radiator with a lower density fin array. I would think that a 64mm thick radiator would require a more powerful fan than a 40mm thick radiator. I'm wondering if the Noctua 2000 or 3000...

    Question Thermaltake Pacific CLD 360

This is a 40mm thick, double fin, high density ( FPI: 25 ) radiator. They say it's designed for high static pressure fans. What constitutes a high static pressure fan that is commensurate with this radiators ability to dissipate heat. I tend to use Noctua fans and have used their industrial 2000...

    Question Bottom Line Question

Another bottom line question. If the CPU fails, will it cause damage to any other component in the system?

    Question Bottom Line Question

I thank you all for your responses. I have been doing a deep dive on the bios on these boards. I am setting very conservative settings and hoping for the best. And, of course, full backups.

    Question Bottom Line Question

The more I research this, the more I understand the heated rhetoric on all the websites. I'm getting disgusted with all this. Apparently there was also a manufacturing defect in early 13 gen chips that intel corrected. However, I can't find where I can find out if my chip was affected. I have to...

    Question Bottom Line Question

I have read through a ton of material on this and am still not sure of the answer. Is the stability problems of the 13th and 14th gen intel processors a "hardwired" problem? Will updating the microcode and motherboard bios eliminate the problem? I bought boxed versions of an I5 13500 and an I7...

    Question Copilot

Copilot appeared on my taskbar. How do I get rid of it? I right click on it and nothing happens. This is extremely annoying. I just got rid of all the unwanted microsoft garbage.

    Question Asus LPT header

Just to follow up on this. I had an online chat with Asus and explained the situation that there were no cables to connect to the 2.0mm pitch LPT header on the motherboard and to a connector on the backplane. He said he understood and bumped me up to another level and told me to stay online...

    Question Crucial.com

I have again tried to place an order on Crucial.com several times on different computers. Again, it is non responsive at the "review order" point. Again, I can go to another site and place an order. After all these attempts I am just writing off Crucial, which is a shame, as I have been ordering...

    Linux on Intel

I'm on my Kubuntu computer with version 22.04.2. It tells me that my Kernel is 5.19.0-46-generic (64 Bit). Should be good to go on an Intel I7 13700. The journey begins.

    I'll look at that.

    Linux on Intel

Continuing my research it looks like Kernel 5.16 was the initial kernel that was specifically designed to utilize the benefits of intel hybrid processors. I believe Kernel 5.18 utilizes Thread Director and Hardware Feedback Interface. I currently have Kubuntu 22.04.2 LTS installed on a Core I7...
