Strange noise GTX 950 Under Load

I know that's exactly what I thought. I've stopped every fan in my case and it makes the noise. It is only under gpu load, and doesnt make the noise when the gpu is out. It's very bizarre

It's a Maxwell chip, so yes the fan is off at idle, it turns on around 60C. Yeah it has integrated Intel 4600 graphics, no noise when the card is out.

How do OS's handle hyperthreading?

Like on an i7 for example is the OS smart enough to assign one thread per physical core before assign 2 to one? For Example Core 1 Logical core 1 - Thread Logical core 2 - Nothing Core 2 Logical core 1 - Thread Logical core 2 - Nothing Core 3 Logical core 1 - Thread Logical...

How long do you have to get a bone set?

I try my best not to but I have to replace the tape evry once and awhile

I guess I should have stated my toe was at about a 45 degree angle pointing out outward. That's why I'm concerned it wasn't set. If I take the tape off it goes back to that angle

I broke my pinky toe yesterday. I went in to the clinic and they said it was broken at an angle and that they couldnt set it and the only thing they could do was tape it to the toes next to it and hope it heals straight. She told be I could go to a foot doctor if I want and see if they can...

Can other clients on VPN see you?

On a public VPN like ipvanish or private internet access,can the other clients connected to the VPN connect to your computer if you have ports open? I assume once you are connected to a VPN your router firewall no longer takes effect correct?

Motorolla SB6121 Modem

Does anyone else have one of these? Does your link light flash constantly? I have nothing connected to it other than a router it and the link light blinks all the time.

Windows 7 Firewall

Thanks, I get the basics. I don't want my default Outgoing to be deny though. I just want to deny a subnet with exceptions in that subnet

Anyone have any good ideas on how to block an entire subnet but allow certain expections within that subnet? Example Block 192.168.1.0/24 Allow 192.168.1.3 I haven't used the firewall rules a ton, but it doesn't appear to have that nice tree structure that IP tables does.

Question on the gun bill(and bills in general)

So I've been trying to follow this pretty closely(pro gun btw!) but I'm confused. S.649 is the Safe Communities safe schools act or w/e they call it. As far as I know this hasn't even been voted on yet, and yet they are voting on amendments to S.649(S.715, S.725 that both were rejected)...

I think I found where they got their numbers. They must have been comparing quarter 3 2012 to quarter 3 2011. I assumed they were comparing to last quarter.
