Can you use old boxes to ship stuff?

McMaster-Carr P/N 1996T14 Scroll down to the bottom of the page. As far as I know, you just want to be sure to cover or remove any old shipping labels (UPS bar codes, etc.). Company logos and such should not matter.

Can free weights alone give a "full" workout?

It will be tough to get a good leg workout. I suppose it is possible to squats with dumbbells, but you will probably need more than 30 lb.

Can you straight wire a DC cord into fuse box?

It sounds like you ran both wires to the fuse holder, this will not make a complete circuit. For most cars, you need to put the Positive (+) wire to the fuse holder and the Negative (-) to ground. Ground is usually to the chasis, look for a bare metal surface that connects to the frame/body...

Dryer is drying clothes less and less
