So this is the inside of the Ideapad S210. I believe the mini-PCIe slot doubles as an mSATA but there's no place to mount it. Maybe you could tape it down but you're still sacrificing the internal wifi card to get it.
Ended up ordering an adapter so I can use the mSATA SSD I bought in place...
That Lenovo has an mSATA slot so you can have an SSD and keep the hard drive that's in it. You'd need something like this.

I think I'll keep the Lenovo anyway, it's not $80 better than the Asus, but at least I won't be unhappy with it. Better keyboard, better cpu, msata port for an ssd, ram not soldered to the board, better build quality, better battery, bigger/faster hard drive.
Of course, now that I went ahead and bought the Lenovo, Bestbuy's advertising a 1 day sale on the Asus for $199.

Agreed, I was waffling on it but I pulled the trigger based on the review (and the sale ends tomorrow). Thanks Kaido.
Thinking of adding an MSATA SSD, they claim it has a slot for one.
I'm kind of in the same boat. I've been looking at the Inspiron 11 3000 and similar 11 inch notebooks, trying to get at least a 2955U, 4GB of ram and an SSD or the ability to swap out the hard drive for one.
Right now I'm trying to compare that Haswell 2955U with the Temash A6-1450 that's in...
Picked up a Toshiba 3TB 7200RPM hard drive for around $126 with shipping, was holding out for a non-Seagate drive. I think its based on the Hitachi Deathstar 7k3000?
Its $30, you can buy a better fan and still come out ahead. You're also only using one fan for CPU + exhaust instead of two, which could reduce noise, or you could use two quieter fans in push/pull. That review took neither of those into consideration.
The Antec Kuhler 620 is also $49.99 at Microcenter (no free shipping though). Not sure which I'd rather have but I've been leaning towards the Antec. The H60 is a Coolit and the 620 is an Asetek, the H60 has a thicker radiator but I read the 620 has the pump/block from the H70, the tubes are...
Almost bought an Arc Midi, but I've wanted a Lian Li forever and when I saw that 9F was so cheap I bought it immediately, thank you for posting that.
By the way, that Rosewill is a Xigmatek Pantheon with a different side panel.
