Thanks I'll try those 2 suggestions tonight. I did shut down antivirus but I didn't uninstall. I'll try that.

tried the google DNS. Says no internet connection. I restarted the router. Also moved to a different network and router, same problem. I know I could reimage the machine, trying not to because of a lot of custom application setup on there that would be a pain to redo. I can't help but...

I think finding a a proper ground wire is highly unlikely and a cold water pipe is not going to nearby for most outlets. Maybe we can install GFCI's and I can buy a power conditioner for the computers and TV.
