Recent HT/Non-HT benchmarks

Can anyone point me to recent benchmarks does in the old question of: "To turn HT on or off"? I'm still used to the old way of thinking that for 100% Computation CPU jobs, there's nothing to get from HT. Is this still true?

Recommendations for a ~$200 Z87 MotherBoard

Looking for a quick recommendation for a $200 Z87 motherboard. Don't care so much about wireless features, but about reliability/stability, and extendability (ports/pcie slots etc.). Can go a bit higher up to $240 if there's a killer feature worth it.. Overclocking matter to some extent...

Haswell 4770 vs. 4770k

Just to avoid mis-conceptions. the K variant is missing VT-d, not VT-x. VT-d is used for more efficient I/O + Direct H/W Access. I doubt that standard virtualization products for desktops use it much.

Sorry you feel it is useless, Much like @Edrick, I'm very interested in FMA + TSX specifically. This build is for my home desktop, which is used 50%/50% for dev+work and for gaming. I don't replace this machine that much (my current one is a i7-860!), so I do care a bit about OC as it gives...

Hi, Here, in Intel's own coparison: http://ark.intel.com/compare/75123,75122 You can see that while the K is 0.1 Ghz faster, it's missing: vPro VT-d Trusted Execution TSX-NI Is this real? Seems very weird... Can anyone comment on this?

I did: mountvol x: /d diskpart: select volume 3 offline volume online volume mountvol x: ... Didn't seem to matter... The question I have is: is there a more "accurate" trim tool that can return a value from the controller explaining what happened?

I thought about rebooting, and have indeed done it, but the same sector got overwritten by some NTFS data structure (Starts with INDX which I remember to be an NTFS stream). I'll try again...

I've re-created the RAID array. This time the RST wizard recomended a stripe-size of 16KB (previously it was 128KB). So I accepted as it seemed more relevant for a boot drive with many small files. The test didn't go any better apparently: http://imgur.com/L1NWH The same sector remained...
