Please help me out!! Office Depot isn't being helpful at all. Does anyone have this rebate form still?

Can't view saved pictures from IE

No matter what program I try to open it with, the program spits out an error along the lines of cannot open this format, cannot parse this file. This would lead you to believe it's just a corrupt file, but all the pictures my friend downloads comes out like this...

Can't view saved pictures from IE

Buddy of mine is trying to save pictures/graphics from IE. He right clicks and saves it to his hard drive. But when he goes to view the picture, he get's an error. Window Fax and Picture will say "No preview available". He tries to view the picture in other programs and it gives him errors...

Mandrake 9 setup can't find CDROM

Thanks for the link. The problem is, I cannot even install Linux because it can't read the CD. Most of the links I've found on Google relate to not being able to read the CD once Mandrake has already been installed. Any other ideas anyone?

Mandrake 9 setup can't find CDROM

Trying to install Mandrake 9. I boot off the CD and the installation begins looking for devices, but then I get an error saying it can't find a CDROM device. It then prompts me to choose a SCSI 'driver'. Since it booted and began the setup, I assume it has found my CDROM okay, so why can't it...

my NIC fails to load at bootup

What I ended up having to do was give my nic a static IP address, instead of obtaining one from dhcp. Then I filled in all the information like gateway, dns, netmask, etc. Now everything seems to be working fine. I would like to know why it wouldn't work with dhcp. I checked the log messages...

my NIC fails to load at bootup

I've got an SIS900 onboard lan and it fails to load when Mandrake 8.2 boots. If I do ifconfig, eth0 is not listed. However, if I go through this connection wizard, eth0 changes from down to up, but then it doesn't connect to the school's dhcp server to give me an IP. Then, after a few...

How do I uninstall Win98 from a Win98/W2k dual boot

I've searched Microsoft's website and Google, but all I was able to find were ways to remove W2k. Is it possible to remove Win98 w/o having to format and start all over? Is there an easy process to remove Windows98 and leave W2k?

Okay, I feel a little bit better knowing that it's not just me. I'll keep playing around with it anyway cuz like texun said, it didn't always do this. It's also weird because I have two Hotmail accts going and the other acct is fine. It doesn't get the duplicate problem. Only my default one...

Where oh where is my memory going?

I could be wrong, but doesn't System Restore use a good chunk of HD space? Try disabling that to check. Remember, if you disable System Restore, you'll lose all of your restore points...

Inkjet refill kits... any good?

I'm in the same boat as you! I'm a poor college student who can't afford $30 ink cartridges. So I started looking around online for some cheap sites. Actually, I think I made a post here on Anand! :) I came to this place. I bought only 2 cartridges for my Canon BJC 2000, just to test them...
