Data DVD shows up as blank DVD

So I pop in the DVD into the drive, the drives spins for a bit then says its a blank DVD. It's a data DVD (not video) so I don't know if there's a region component to this since I'm in the US and the DVD was burned in the UK. Any ideas? Thanks

Nope, the "the connection has limited or no connectivity" signal when connected by wire is more of no connectivity than limited.

Problem w/ Linksys wrt54gs router

So one day internet just stops working. I power cycled modem/router, nothing. I hook up the computer (running XP) to the router via LAN, get a limited or no connectivity signal, can't even access 192.168.1.1. Throughout all this, the router is broadcasting the SSID. Tried to do a hard reset...

Probably cuz people figured out their products suck! Yea, the CDs I'm trying to access are about 5 years old so I guess they were one of the earliest generations of CDRs, but nonetheless, I have other brands (ie. Verbatim or Sony, even "shark" brand) that are just as old, and still work...

Of all my CDs, every single of one my CDs that are BASF brand all now give me cyclic redundancy errors when I try to access them. WTF!
