Dead Power Supply or Motherboard?

I am having exactly the same issue. The computer was working fine until two days ago. The green light of the mother board is there but when I press the "ON" button nothing happens, the fans dont spin, the computer makes no noise. Its just dead. Ive disconnected everything, recconected everything...

You are suggesting to dismiss gaming cards ? so you wouldnt get a gaming card? anyone want to comment on this ?

My friend is very serius about animation, he is one of the best I know, he definetely has a lot of future. But at the same time he is not planning in doing the next "toy story" or anything, he just needs something good enough to keep getting better, keep up with school and do the occassionally...

I got this spyware and I already deleted part of it at the registry. Im not having pop ups at the beggining like I was. The only thing I have is this nasty toolbar (gambling, casino, blabla) in my internet explorer and also on my windows folders. It sucks. The problem is that I have no idea how...

About beta drivers (in this case for 7900 gt)

I have a question, whats the deal with beta drivers ? are they stable ? is it ok to install them ? I ask this because I go to nvidia website and they have some beta drivers but it doesnt say exactly what Im asking, so I recur to the experts here. From personal experience does this drivers...

Ok, so lets say, if I buy another 7900 gt, is it going to increase performance in todays games? is this supported right out of the box or the game has to specifially suport dual cards ?

I was wondering whats the word on using two video cards in games and maybe in 3d apps ? I have an sli motherboard that supports two videocards. Currently I have a 7900 gt, and I want to know if its worth it to put a second videocard later. IS it going to increase performance in games right now ...

downloaded files are "corrupted" most of the time, weird.

Thanks to everyone. On one side Im happy to know that I found out what is causing the problem but on the other side I dont want to format man, I need to get work done, I cant be formatting my computer every 10 days. It sucks to know that was causing the problem. Is there any other way to...
