ok thanks kids....just another quick question, how does Windows handle the Serial Keys thingie with 2 sets of Windows installs on each hard drive??
The reason I ask is because I did something similar (but not exact) the other day and it wouldnt let me re use my serial key from the other hard...
Folks...I have Win 7 installed on my internal Sata HD and everything is running fine. however, I just ordered a FASTER WD Sata internal drive that I can simply plug into my case's front hot swappable Sata bay.
I want to try 2 things if possible:
1- I want to make a 1:1 copy of my main HD...
So, if I understand you correctly, then the drive speed using the hot swap front ports should be every bit as fast as the internal drive capabilities? (assuming I used the same drives in either configuration)
Folks...got a qick question,
I have an Intel i7860 CPU with an IHC5 chipset ( I think) Its a prebuilt Gateway FX system with Win 7. It also comes with 2 front Hot Swappable Sata drive bays.
My question is, if I installed Win 7 on another HD and booted this OS from the hot swappable...
Alkemyst...thanks for that Cacls command tip.....however I think I may have stumbled upon something for future use that might be more related to what I was looking for with the Services Policies and resetting them all ....I think

OK thanks...then would it be possible for me to plug a Sata Hot Swappable drive ( I have 2 sata swappable bays in the front of my Gateway case begging to be used) into my CPU and simply do a 1:1 disk copy of my main drive, then reformat the main drive and do a clean Windows install and start...
