Scenario: ISP provided router is connected to one computer and the source of the internet. Second router is wireless and not connected to the internet via a...

I want to add another 8gb but I'm unsure of mixing memory.
ok so I think it's between ubuntu and centos. I perused distrowatch and they seem comparable save for grub being version 1 in in centos and 2 in ubuntu.
Does that really matter?
I'm assuming the installation process for installing application servers will differ slightly but will most...
I have this IBM server: http://reviews.cnet.com/soho-servers/ibm-eserver-xseries-205/4507-3125_7-30066745.html?tag=mncol;subnav
No SCSI drive but I have an extra sitting around from a different computer as well as a handful of other IDE drives I plan on tossing in there.
I think it has XP...
Hearing that it's probably a better idea for me to scrap this save for the case considering the inner parts are also close to 10 years old. The app server is more important anyway and a buddy gave me an old IBM eServer he found in his basement (was a POS for a local resturant). At least that way...
No it's a fully up and running comp with case, ram, and extra processor (currently only has the one installed).
And when I turn it on it is kind of loud....maybe it is only worth the case as it stands.
A buddy of mine gave me an old computer that he couldn't get to work fully. I have intentions to make it my personal file/web/application/music server. The motherboard is a ACORP 6A815ED/EPD/EPD1. There are currently 2 WD200 HD but I also have:

1 DPTA-372050
1 DTLA-307030
1 Maxtor...

I've made my way through trying to figure out what is wrong with this build but no matter what I do I get no power.
I've attempted a jump start of the PSU...
Down to one unknown device. I know what it is but if I go based on the help file that comes with it if I don't want this computer to restart if windows happens to crash I shouldn't install it. However I want the unknown device thingy gone. Any ideas...
Not sure if I need the critical update as this is my drive:

can I install this even if I don't have the scsi drives?
not certain if what i'm looking at is the RSA card but the video is attached to the extender card, has a Rage XL chip on it, and googling some of the barcodes gets me back the exact same thing that it says it is.
If RSA stands for Remote supervisor adaptor it does not appear to be installed...
