    HD4850 Dual Monitor problems

I purchased a Visontek HD4850 about a month and a half ago. I output to a Gateway 24" monitor and a Westinghouse 24" monitor. Both via DVI. About 2 weeks into owning the card, I noticed that the Westinghouse (secondary monitor) started to flicker on and off randomly. It is sometimes quite a...

    E8500 E0 @ 4.17Ghz and 1.29v good for 24/7?

I sometimes wonder about all of these tests. I thought my 4.0ghz overclock was stable. Ran 10 passes of Intelburntest, 1 hour of OCCT, and 8 hours of prime95 with no crashing or errors. I'd fire up WOW and the system would crash within an hour. I've since added back some voltage and it's...

E8400 - One core not stabile?

Sounds to me like either you have some voltages out of whack, or you just got saddled with a bad chip or mobo. I received my E8400 and P5Q Pro a couple of weeks ago, and the first thing I did was up the FSB to 400, and left all the voltages on auto. The chip didn't even break a sweat. I'm...

    p45 (asus p5q pro) / e8400 E0 voltages for 400 FSB?

Ok, after getting 3.6 stable on my machine, I tried for my goal of 4.0ghz. E8400 E0 Stepping Asus P5Q Pro ATI 4850 4GB Corsair XMS2 ddr2-800 ram Antec Twelve Hundred Case Arctic Freezer Pro 7 heat sink I'm currently running stable at 4.0ghz (9x445), with Vcore set at 1.2650V, and...

    p45 (asus p5q pro) / e8400 E0 voltages for 400 FSB?

I was able to play around with my E0 8400 yesterday. 9 x 400, and manually lowered the vcore to 1.250V. Per Realtemp, I'm running around 32-33 C idle and 48-49C under Prime 95 load. Maybe I'll shoot for 4.0ghz this week :)

    p45 (asus p5q pro) / e8400 E0 voltages for 400 FSB?

Did you set those Vcores yourself Walk? My E0 will do 3.6 at 1.3V with the auto setting. 41C Idle and 61C under Orthos load. My original point is that I think 1.3V is more than what's needed for 3.6. Once I get the components into my new case, I'll have to play around with manually dropping...

Antec twelve hundred and ATX cables

Newegg had the combo pack (24pin and the 8pin) for $6.99. The shipping is the killer part. To have it arrive today, along with the case, the shipping was about $13.00. If I don't need it, then so be it, but the worst case scenario was for me to tear apart my current case, move everything...

    p45 (asus p5q pro) / e8400 E0 voltages for 400 FSB?

So, have you guys been getting stable overclocks with Vcore on Auto, and then backing it down in the bios to the lowest it will go and still boot? I did a simple overclock to 3.6 (400 x 9), and left Vcore on auto, CPU-Z shows the voltage at 1.3V, however, I don't think that the chip needs that...

    Power Supplies with long cables?

I just ordered this case as well. Anyone know if the Corsair 520HX has any issues with the 24pin connector length?

Antec twelve hundred and ATX cables

I recently purchased the Antec twelve hundred, and UPS has it currently en route. I've read some people have concerns with their 24pin ATX cables being too short to route behind the MOBO. My current PSU is a Corsair 520HX. Does anyone else have this combination? Any ideas as to if I'm...

Finally ordered an e8400, hoping for E0.

Yep...the E0 I received was from the CA warehouse. Too back the Eastern folks are still being shipped C0 chips.

Finally ordered an e8400, hoping for E0.

I ordered the E8400 Asus P5Q Pro combo last week, and indeed received a E0 stepping chip. Running with an Arctic Freezer Pro 7, I was at 35 idle, 55 load (78 degrees ambient). I tried a simple overclock to 400 x 9. This increased my temps about 6-7 degrees on both idle and load. I didn't...

    Bad Asus P5q pro???

I just got this Newegg combo yesterday as well. My E8400 is E0 stepping, and it worked just fine in my P5Q pro board without a bios update. The strange thing is that after setting everything up, it took a few hits of the power button before finally powering on. It's been running fine ever...
