Well I can shed some light on it for you. First they count on only a certain number of users. Second, eventhough your line is cable, the Main line is all Fiber (Much more bandwidth). Also I know that even the line to your house can easily handle 30-50Mbits of traffic (as per a cable guy).
Just as a side note, you may want to look at the Biostar IDEQ. It includes a HTPC style app that you can boot into (instead of windows) and has a optional remote that works with it (can even power on the system I think).

Is it possible to install the included DVD Software on a SATA Raid drive? I know the Cd installs a customized Linux kernel and am worried because the Linux kenrnel won't reconize the ICH5 controller except on kernel versions 2.4.22 and greater.
I can't decided on the Shuttle 20th Anniversy SFF or the new Abit DigiCube SFF. I was hoping someone here owns one of these systems and give me a real review of it and not a fluff one that many review sites do.
Proposed setup:
3.0 Ghz HT PIV
1GB 3200 Ram
2x200 GB HD
2x CD/DVD Burners (I have...
I don't think 0+1 is an option. I think it is either Raid 0 or Raid 1 is the only choices, I will have to verify it and get back to ya. It is the silicon Image chip that everyone seems to be using for raid so that may help.
I know 4 drives should be faster, but I am thinking that 2 may actually max out the real bandwidth of the controller. If this is the case then there is no need for 4 small drives and I can just get two large drives. I know DMA 133 Raid maxed out at about 3 or 4 drives but I am wondering if SATA...
Thanks I will take a look at it. I am really interrested in whether or not my IC7 Max 3 4 channel SATA with 4 drives will be faster then my ICHR-5 2Channel SATA with 2 drives.
This use to work with older Cell phone batteries and might be worth a shot. Put the batteries in the top of the freezer for a few hours. This might make them reusable.
I am looking for some sort of data on how these two Raid 1 configurations stack up to each other. I am about to buy some new SATA drives and I am wondering if I should get 4x120 or 2x250. I am more interested in the speed then the difference in the storage, but I have googled for 25 mins with...
I got it, it seems that it was hooked into IE. I broke out my development process viewer that links both the processes and threads to thier respective files. I found it linked to a folder in program files called networking essentials . I deleted the entire directory just to be safe. I am sure I...
The control is still present after I run ad aware. I forgot to mention that I already run it. I even updated the sig file and still couldn't get it. I get pop ups on the IE 404 Error page still. I have checked the source and it is ok with no popups, so the control must still be present.
