i've used sysprep b4 all i can say is that u will have to reactivate ure version of windows if u sysprep it... also u will need the Key. this is a option for you also u could jes try hookin it in see what it does
but if i were u i would put the IDE Drivers back to the generics dont use...
u might wanna check to see if your plugs are all the way in .. also jiggle the ends as they are plugged into the card see if theres a fault in the card. i have had that happen in a audigy.

u know i had the same problem with some Dell's that when i upgraded the Bios that Happened as well. if u cannot figure it out in the bios i might suggest downgrading your bios back the version it was initially at and see if that fixes the problem. or if you jumped from one version to another...

u said it was a BSOD any chance that its visible to see what the Error was?? or what the file name was that caused the BSOD to happen or is it one of those Instant BSOD's that Reset the computer automatically?
check in your Bios to make sure that your running in DMA Modes and not PIO if you are then have that changed so your mobo can run your HD to its full potential. also are you using a 80Pin IDE Cable? and if thats all correct try this
