Motherboard glitch? No PCI ID?

I have a strange error when trying to install Detonator Drivers 21.81, which I downloaded from NVidias site, the card is a Gainward GF 3 Ti 450 and the MoBo is a P4B266. I get the following error when trying to install them: "Setup was unable to locate a detected device's PCI ID in NVAGP.INF...

Nortan PF 2002 pooched my system!

Does anyone here run Norton Firewall 2002? After installing it, and running a live update, upon reboot I was completly locked out of configuring NPF, it keeps saying only Administrators can change options, and I couldn't uninstall either, it says only admins can do that. I don't have a clue...

Detonator 21.83 Q's, TV Out and OC

Do they Detonator 21.83 drivers allow you to use TV out and Overclock using NVMax? And does anyone know the best TV Out program to use? Is TV Tool good? What else is there? Thanks

Check DMA for cd/dvd drives?

My DVD drive set to UDMA 2 in the motherboard bios, my question is do I need to check "Enable DMA" in the drive proprties in Windows? The OS in question is 98SE. Thanks for any help.

Plug n Play in Bios, whats it do?

Does anyone know what "Plug n Play" does in your bios? (P4B266 here) It's off by default, do I need to turn it on? Thanks

GoBack 3 users, disable "file rescue window"?

This is very annoying, everytime I revert with GoBack 3, GoBack starts up just after bootup, and the "File Rescue Window" pops up everytime I load windows. Is there any way to get rid of this? It's very annoying, and it doesn't seem to stop. Thanks for any help

Intel rips off AVC Sunflower design?

AVC makes intel's retail sinks, the Sunflower is also the Intel reference design, it's in all the manuals etc.

Will your PSU affect your ability to OC P4 Northwood?

Abit TH7 II + 1.6A Doesn't Work!

I don't know about the TH7-II, but the BD7-Raid is a lemon board, Abit sucks IMO.

What does turbo 1 mode do on P4B266? Good for oclock?

Yes people have proven it. Someone at the [Hard Forums did a test from 101-200 FSB using Turbo 1, and the PCI/AGP was always as close to 35/72 as it could get, he said the average speed was 35.7 for the PCI. He posted his benches, it is confirmed. Asus isn't gonna tell you anything, believe...

Thermaltake copper shim XP

Copper shims suck, you run the risk of shorting out your chip, do NOT use an XP shim on any other chip, or vice versa. Get a non conductive T-Bird/XP shim and you can use it on any AMD chip.

Turbo 1 locks PCi/AGP to 35/72, Turbo 2 locks it a bit higher, and Normal mode is dependant on the FSB speed.

P4 motherboard with lots of features?

Go DDR, the P4B266 in all it's versions has onboard 6 channel sound, USB 2.0, onboard LAN, and onboard RAID. My board just has the sound and USB 2.0. Currently my 1.8A is running at 2.4Ghz and my ram is at around 350Mhz DDR (PC2700+), you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between...
