    New Build - DVD/SATA/ACHI Issues

    I run an Abit IP35 Pro, and have a LG SATA dvd burner (GSA-H62.) After moving to Vista (fresh install of OEM SP1) and using AHCI, my system would hang at boot with the SATA dvd drive attached.... sometimes. It was hit or miss. EDIT: Specifically, it would hang after POST, at the moment...

    I'll comment, since I plan on getting about the same setup. I'm getting the Onkyo TX-SR504, and as for speakers, I'm looking at the Infinity Primus (supposedly its a solid performer, and its very cheap), Onix X-LS, or Infinity Beta 20s. For a subwoofer, I'm looking at the Acoustech Bic H100...
