Sorry to ask, but what is SMART? I've never seen it before, apart from some message on my very old P75 when it booted up?

GeForce FX 5200 wont accept ANY drivers ?

I had this problem with my PNY FX5200. It wouldn't accept ANY drivers except the ones on the CD out of the box. Not on the PNY site, not on the NVidia site, not even a reformat would sort the problem out. I'm not saying this is the case with yours, just be wary, lol. It was VERY annoying.

Dell Specs

Dell won't want you to tear their computer up, so it's likely, like the others said, that many of the parts will be unusable. I reckon you *should* be able to salvage the cpu, ram, hdd, cd(s), and fdd. The other parts may be unusable. If you go ahead with the upgrade, you may end up spending out...

A long way off. The 6800s and X800s don't even support Dx10. That should give you a good idea.

I've seen instances where the stock HS/fan cannot shift heat as fast as it's produced... hence it HEATS UP the cpu until the system crashes. LOL.
