Which one to keep

Doesn't really matter. Both those systems would be fine with a good 400W PSU, so it's up to you. I'd keep the Seasonic

Rosewill PSU, dead or just my motherboard?

That's a rebadged Solytech. It's actually not that bad. The fan is supposed to spin slow, it's big, and the PSU has a thermal fan controller. How old is your motherboard?

PSU urgent help!!

It might work under light load but I would not recommend it at all. It probably has a fast recovery diode pack for the 12V which would get overloaded under heavy load and if it blew it would probably kill some components. Pretty much any PSU you find now-a-days will be better than that one.

Troubleshooting no power

When the PSU is plugged into the mobo and off, what DC reading do you get on the purple wire of the main motherboard connector?

Very true. Cheap Chinese caps and sleeve bearing fans seem to fail quickly. Even if a PSU is brand new and doesn't have Japanese capacitors, I instantly replace them all. But then again it depends on the design. Crappy CapXon caps are going to last a lot longer in a two transistor forward...

New build think this PSU can handle it?

That PSU will do its rated wattage and handle that rig no problem. Only issue is the reliability of the capacitors. It's made by FSP so it uses almost exclusively CapXon capacitors which are not reliable at all, they're pretty much designed to last past the warranty. I had that PSU and the PFC...

Compatibility with AM3+

It's marketing. There's no way for a PSU to "detect" what CPU it's powering, so it will work. Keep in mind that you do not need that much wattage for CF 7950's. You could use a 650W PSU and still have headroom. My setup has a 2500K OC'd to 4.4GHz, and a 7950, when playing Crysis 3, my setup...

Ult-350p?

That is a unit built by Wintech, which I believe are out of business now. Thing is, the 350 rating is rated for peak wattage not continuous. That being said, your setup there doesn't require that much power and would be fine. One thing though is yes the capacitors it uses will be a mix of...

Corsair CX430 430w with an i7 3770k, 5850, etc? beyond the limit of psu?

You're fine. I've ran an OC'd Core i3 4.2GHz (First gen) with an OC'd 4870 and it's had no issues. Only thing to worry about is the unreliable capacitors in the CX430. It probably has CapXon or Samxon GF, which are notorious for premature failures

Confused with 12v rails.....

Yes that PSU actually has a single rail capable of ~25A. Your system will never pull more than 175W (including inefficiency) as it is, and that is a well built PSU so you would be good to go
