Why is everyone obsessed with 4K?

Almost everyone above is commenting on something they obviously have not seen. 4K scaling on 8.1 has never given me an issue, and almost all the games I've played have scaled well with 4K. 4K really does bring games to life... the detail you start to see is absolutely incredible. I *can't* go...

What's a Reference Card

The stock fans on the cards are fine- if you don't mind the noise. Aftermarket solutions are for people who are real ornery about noise. If it doesn't bother you, crank the fans up and don't worry about it.

Which PC gamer are you?

Desk with a big monitor... I've gotten so used to being so close to the screen, that I can't even game on a 60" screen if I'm not close to it anymore. I prefer being up close and being able to see everything crystal clear.

That's fair. Just leads me to believe that TW3 has low quality textures that uses sharpening as a form of bandaid.

Please don't tell me what I am seeing. Thank you. If it's less than high, the image is so blurry that whether there is a lack of artifacts or not doesn't matter. You're going to have to take my word on that.

Mass Effect Andromeda (2016)

My guess is it's a couple hundred years after the Reapers were defeated... interesting to note, I don't believe there was a single ME3 ending where the Reapers were victorious until the extended cut gave the fuck you ending. So the reapers losing is obviously canon. So with that out of the way...

Need a new game to play

I'm kind of bored at the moment, and I'm waiting for FO4. If anyone wants to give me some suggestions for a new game to pick up- money isn't really an issue- I'd appreciate it. I'm in the mood for a shooter (not COD) or something sci-fi with decent graphics. Thanks in advance.

The next big gpu trend

6GB minimum for 4K is not bs. Maybe for games right this second, but another year and GB will be reached @ 4K in all new games.

A lot of those things have nothing to do with the engine. And as far as TW3 goes, I don't know what monitor you're using, but if I don't have sharpening on high on my 4K monitor, my eyes bleed. We haven't seen a Bethesda game use DX 11... now we'll see. Can we reserve judgement until the game is...

No it's more of the faces for both look so bad that the minor improvement for Tw3 doesn't matter to me. They've both killed immersion for me. There's no, oh this is shitty but this is slightly *less* shitty. Once you pass that threshold, it's just shit, and no PC game is above that threshold for...

Another person who is bashing the engine and not what is primarily the problem... DX 9 was a pile of shit. We are now on DX 11. 4 years have passed. Quad cores are no longer bleeding edge. 8 cores are very common. The consoles use 8 cores. Am I making myself clear enough? W3 facial animations...

Fury cards will NOT have HDMI 2.0 outputs

It's even worse than 30hz. It's limited to 24hz... Typical AMD... now I'm definitely not upset at buying my Titan X's before AMD released. They just can't get anything right. Ultimately that's why I switched from my R9 295x2.
