Crossfire a 5770 and 5850?

I don't think that will work, but I have 2 5770's and they work pretty well. I would have liked to have had a 5870, but when I was building this computer they were nowhere to be found.

Hardware question on HD 5770

This thread is interesting to me because I chose to purchase two 5770's to put in my P55 build. I would have preferred to buy one 5850 now and one later, but they are a little hard to find right now. Since the P55 is limited to 8x on the two PCI-E slots when using Crossfire, I somehow justified...

5870/5850/5770/5750 stocking status

I gave up on 5800 series cards. I'm putting 2 - 5770's in my new P55 rig.

5850 There and Gone...I Caved

LOL... I had a 5870 in my cart and just couldn't do it. If I get the chance again I might because I can't find a 5850 anywhere and when I do try to add one to my cart I can't complete the checkout process... FRUSTRATING!

Upgrade or Wait to Rebuild?

Man... you guys are the best. Thanks for the advice! I'm itching to build something so maybe I'll just move everything over to the new case when I upgrade the video card. I was actually looking at the P55 board tests that Toms did and it really doesn't seem like a huge leap from a good C2Q...

Thank you for the reply. I am going to move to Win7. The monitor I am looking at has a native resolution of 1920x1200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824236047 My 19" Acer is 1440x900. So... I think I will wait until Win7 is out and folks start reporting that it is...

Time for a motherboard switch! Ordered my board...

I think you're on the right track about enabling USB in the bios. I have an old keyboard with PS/2 connector that I used when I built my system. I had the same problem with a USB mouse though. I went out and bought a PS/2 mouse to eliminate that problem. Good luck.

Anyone else having problems with memory? I am in BIOS and under PC health status I get "FAIL", but the board sees that there are 2 gigs there??? WTF? I went into BIOS and adjusted timings to 4-4-4-12, but didn't know what to set the other timings to... tRRD, tRC, tWR, tWTR, and tREF...

Hi, I just built my system using this board also. It was my first build, so I don't have much to compare to, but everything is working smoothly. I put an E4400 in it with 2GB of Patriot memory, 250 GB Seagate HD and a liteon DVD-R. Running the stock fan in an Antec P180 with a Corsair HX...

Please help... First build!

Update... I installed the drivers that came on the CD from Gigabyte that came with the motherboard. Whaaaaa laaaaaaa.... Now it's working. Imagine that! Thank you all for your help and suggestions!
