ping inconsistency

After 6 months of no problems playing games like battlefield 2 and counterstrike on line with no lag, I have recently noticed that I have been being kicked for high average ping on battlefield 2 servers. My pings are all over the map, my rig is a top of the line overdrive pc overclocked monster...

That's because the tests are run at 1280x1024. Crank them up to 1920x1200 or higher, and you'll really start to see the 8800GTX systems shine...

FEAR Benchmarking

One possibility is the "commit charge" differences on our computers. I've heard that can slow things down a bit if it's too high. Mine is 322 right now. What's yours, nightmare? I checked mine with all programs shut down and only processes running...

Saw a nice Gateway today at Best Buy. Was all set to pull the trigger on a the Dell 2407WFP, but the Gateway has me wondering? Any thoughts from the wise and powerful Anandtech crew???

Well, in my opinion, you have it exactly backward. To my eye, Oblivion with all eye candy turned on, looks better than any console game PERIOD. See, I can be just as annoying as you! And yes, I've seen GoW on a giant screen 1080p television.
