I'd like to get an iMac for the family (and me) but I know the inevitable refresh is right around the corner... I feel the Christams pressure but I am not really impressed by the i3 when the i5 is much better... Buy now and have it or do the smart thing and wait a few weeks...
Any suggestions?
I added the user on the server but when i go to log in it doesn't work... says password is invalid... it also ads the computername\username to the log on but NT 4.0 only asks for the user name... Please help!
Do I need to restart the server every time I add someone?
DO you 'need' Vista BUSINESS for a small network of 5 - 7 computers or is the Home Premium version fine... I work at a radio station and I just want to upgrade the computers...
Also, will an Athlon 64 x2 3800+ be fine compared to an e4300 for office tasks and some audio editing?
I want to build a Vista box for work and wonder if anyone has recently built a box based around the e4300... I want it to be as cheap as possible but still good... i.e., 2gigs ram and a decent, cheap video card...
Please chime in.
Thanks,
David
At work I want to plug in a wireless router to one of the ports on our Wired router but am not having any luck getting it to work... the Wired router is 192.168.1.1..... what do i need to set the wireless router to?
I don't want to replace the wired router with the wireless one... ijust want...
I'm getting small blue flickering dots on dark images ever since i installed Vista (clean). I have a vx2025wm DVI monitor and an x1900xt... This corruption wasn't there when i was using xp...
Can someone please help with suggestions or has anyone had the same problem?
The problem isn't that most people already have a copy of xp... the problem is that when 2 months from now you want to reinstall (clean install) Vista because it's cucked up are you going to have to reinstall XP and then go through the whole Vista 'upgrade process....
I hope not... Anyone?
I understand that people are essentially installing it twice to get around the previous version check but no one has 'activated' the upgrade copy yet doing the install twice...
