Maybe. Transfers were supposed to stop a few months ago, but TiVo appears to still be allowing them according to http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/04/18/tivo-...lifetime-service-transfers-still-work/ as of last month.
The $77 case at Newegg is the Antec 3700BQE. It's a pretty sweet case, in many ways nicer than the Sonata, but it doesn't have the glossy finish of the more expensive case. Check out this great review for more info on the 3700BQE, including comparison info on it and the Sonata.
This worked exactly as described for me in Bellevue, WA. The price on shelf was $49, the price at the register was $49, but the price out the door was $19 plus tax.
