Any luck on the SI-120 working with the optional 775 attachment you can buy from jab-tech or xoxide? My Nina will fit, but I'd rather not have to mod the motherboard to get it to fit.

About to receive my 680i, new memory, and E6400. I have a PSU with the 4pin 12v connector on it (well, 2 of them) and was wondering if I should use both on the 8pin 12v CPU power connector on the board, or just one. It's slightly unclear in the manual. It says 8pin is recommended, but 4pin...

New Rig- Final Specs

You can save some money by getting an E6400 instead. The extra cache on the E6600 doesn't make a big difference, and you can easily overclock the E6400 to speeds that well surpass the X6800. I'm doing the same with my new build. I'd also HIGHLY recommend getting a separate power supply...

Upgrading... need advice

The $45,000 was just a joke. :) I've just never spent more than about $150 on a mobo (and that gets you a DAMN nice mobo), so when I saw the SLI C2D boards going for $250 I was boggled and a bit sickened. I'd seriously give C2D a try if the boards weren't so damned expensive. I'd be willing...

The Simple & Concise 7900GT Voltmod Tutorial

You can do that. Some of us are just a bit spooked about soldering. :) And if the voltmod bricks your card, erasing the ink will leave little to no trace, whilst soldering would leave a very obvious trace that'd void any RMA possibility.

good 24/7 939 motherboard

Most any decent board these days will work 24/7. I've never had a computer crap out on me, and I've always kept my computer on 24/7 for the past 10 years. Currently running a 9NPA+SLI and I'm quite happy with it. Overclocked or not, it's stable as hell.

Upgrading EPoX 9NPA+SLI nForce

I've heard a few inklings of people having problems with the bundled nForce drivers (6.39) that come with this board. My computer is acting a bit odd, so I'm considering upgrading to the newest ones on the nVidia site (6.86, the AMD ones, which seem to be my only option as far as my board...

The Simple & Concise 7900GT Voltmod Tutorial

Thanks!! I'm dumb and forgot to ask something though. What's a decent program to overclock, since coolbits won't go that high? Like I said, ATITool is wonky for me. Never been much into GPU overclocking (since i've never been able to get a decent OC), so I don't know about all the tools.

Any busted 7900GT news?

Lifetime warranty! I wasn't worried about them dying so much as they were DOA. If you haven't been keeping track, since the 7900s came out, they were bad. Nvidia screwed up on the memory clocking or such, so the majority of them would artifact on their very first use. Incredibly common...

Any busted 7900GT news?

Sweet! What games did you get with it? I got an original 7900GT, but I'm insanely happy with it. Gonna do a voltmod today to see if I can't beat out a GTX by leaps and bounds. :) I wish XFX offered a step-up program. :(

Going to install my Zalman vf900-cu tomorrow and some ramsinks (passive, but the Zalman blows across them nicely) and try the GPU voltmod to 1.4v. 1.5+ seems a bit overkill to me. Is it safe to do the GPU mod without doing the RAM mod concurrently? I'm kinda weary about the rAM mod. Wish...
