CPU fan intermittenly stops

just got a new core 2 duo 6750 and a gigabyte P-35 motherboard. the stock intel fan randomly stops spinning, and keeps trying to start spinning again but cannot resume. my cpu temps are 42 idle. checked newegg, no one else seems to be having this problem with the fans. is it even the fan? the...

everything i download is corrupted

its getting to the point where none of the torrents i download are working. after i download a file and try to mount it in alcohol or any other related program i get error messages ranging from "CRC error: cyclic redudancy check," to "unable to mount image: file os corrupt or missing." is it...

firefox wont connect when using my router

yes IE works, but it seems i fixed the problem. i did a system restore and reset the router back to factory default settings thanks for the response

Fun Computer Riddles

hpodev07 im willing to bet is the name of your computer. your os install is obviously corrupt and the only way to fix that is to reinstall it. like everyone else is saying, your better off upgrading. old OS's have security flaws and arent supported by Microsoft anymore.

also, try removing and reinserting your cmos battery. its just a little watch battery. that resets your entire bios and motherboard.

ok man reading the specs for your machine it sounds alot like its your ram. when you leave a computer on for extended periods of time, its bad for the ram. the ram will get what are called "burps" or whatever and will freeze up your computer. thats why servers use ECC registered memory, its made...

Disc boot failure??

my brother had this problem yesterday actually. try another power connector to for your hard drive. make sure you use an entirely different wire because it might be bad. thats what worked for him. keep us posted.

Need a favor from PC-V1100 owners

i have that case. Im not at home right now but i can remember the motherboard compartment being very small. I have an xp-120 and i barely fit it all in there. I was only able to use like 3 of the holes for mounting the motherboard into the case. Hopefully this helps and sorry i cant be of more...
