problem with games on radeon 9800 pro

sorry to bump this post after so long, but i've still been wondering what to do. as far as solving the heat issue, i guess i'd have to get another heatsink/fan for the video card? any recommendations? also, i don't understand why i'd be having such an issue with this card... i've searched...

i bought a p4p800 from newegg.com last night, along with 1GB of the apacer pc3200 memory, and a p4 2.8cGHz cpu. the more i look at it, i should have just spent the extra money and gotten kingston hyperx pc3200 (KHX3200/512)... i'm relatively new to this, but i would like to overclock a little...

quake 3 engine games lock-up my computer
