Unless I have missed something,
My Sound card Doesn't provide Front audio/mic connection.
My Motherboard doesn't support my Digital speakers
My Case's Front Audio out cable doesn't reach the Motherboard connection.
now My questions are:
Is there an extension cable for the Front audio out...
I hated this keyboard after buying it.
Technically it was sound.
I could press keys like mad, and never missed a keystroke.
The macro keys were kinda hard to use, but did what they were supposed to
it was the fundamental things in the keyboard that I should have taken a closer look at...
here's my setup and my problem:
Asus MB with realtek ac97 onboard sound(not being used)
Sound Blaster Audigy in PCI (currently connected to speakers)
Altec Lansing Digital 4.1 speaker (540z i think) old speakers (1 green connection, 1 black)
Nexus LEXA case (has front headphone/mic plugs)...
The Rosewill runs a single line specifically for the video card.
And is brand new (1 month and 1 week old)
And by any calculations should EASILY handle the system, especially not under load
The sound is probably related to the PSU and video card
but when the 4-pin power is connected to the...
No this wasn't like the pc speaker warnings
This sound was like when you make a balloon squeak, only louder. It dissipated almost instantly when the power was turned off
This sound appeared when the power to the video card was unplugged from the power supply. So the only power the Video...
I built a computer for a friend.
600W Rosewill PSU
Gigabyte DS3 Motherboard (rev3.3)
eVGA 8800gts (320mb) video card
1 SATA DVD burner
1 SATA Seagate HDD
and 3 120mm case fans
The Monitor stopped receiving a signal from the video output, for one reason or another
But we guessed that...
Don't jump just yet
It's been a long road, and I actually bypassed the problem with a SATA DVD
One more format, now that I know the Intel SATAs are faster, or have to worry about AHCI and I think I am done messing with this board.
Man this was a learning experience!
@Bozo Galora and vailr...
Sorry about the No screenies, because I had to read replies right before I head to work, I have been late everyday this week trying to figure this out.
And have had less than 5hrs of sleep everyday
and unless these screen shots tell you anything, this is the last time I can do more than...
I just want to know if the steps listed above were what you did, and if at some point I didn't do what you did, let me know. And since you know a fair bit more than me, you would be able to comment on whether certain step matter or not.
Like the difference between a Slipstreamed Jmicron driver...
For example my try tonight:
SATA HDD on Jmicron 5 (master)
IDE ODD on Jmicron 4 (master)
Master 0-3 None (turned off)
SATA AHCI Mode :: disabled
SATA Port0-3 Native :: Disabled
Onboard SATA/IDE Device :: Enabled
Onboard Ctrl Mode :: AHCI
f6 Jmicron (1.17 from station-drivers) 363...
As you can see in my last post, I have listed all the relative Bios Settings
And always said where the hardware have been placed, and in the case of the IDE DVDrw burner, even listed where the Master/Slave Jumper was set, and that it was set on the master of the IDE cable itself.(not terribly...
out of curiosity, what did I do wrong in my previous setup?
Because I do have a Burner showing up.
As far as Windows only doing CDs, may be right, but I get an error copying the file(s) to the Drive.
Alright results:
Seagate SATA HDD on Jmicron (5 Master)
LG IDE DVDrw on Jmicron (4 Master)
Intel All 4 turned off
Intel SATA Disabled
Native Disabled
Onboard SATA/IDE enabled
Onboard Ctrl Mode AHCI
f6 choose Jmicron AHCI 363
Delete Partition, format
Install Windows, Nothin ever...
yeah! I did something right!
I suppose it was bound to happen sometime.
Not at first, for some the catalog file would change dates, on the new Core2Duo, I only have 1 floppy disk drive, and its on there for the installations.
I keep popping the USB drive back and forth between the new one...
Don't know, it usually pops up as SCSI with the Jmicron Setup.exe
and
WDC is a IDE HDD inside an External Enclosure, and is connected by USB, I don't have a Thumbdrive but thought this would work.
Always do.
I can't get the ones from station-drivers to work, copied from the Floppy 32...
