Why do you hate the VIA KT133a chipset...or just VIA chipsets in general

My hate list KT133a: USB problems, doesn't work with devices that pull more than 300mA from the ports. SB Live!, horrible crackling/poping noises, even tried disabling ACPI, assigning IRQ's, disabling SB16 emulation! ATA, Slow ATA performance, well for me anyway, doesn't pull above or anywhere...

anouther Voodoo zelot gone,well almost.....

Well I have liked my Voodoo5 since the day i bought it and it has served me well...and still is! I have only ever had a GeForce 256 SDR and i've seen my m8's GeForce2GTS 32mb and tbh it looked like the colors were lacking depth, i dunno how to explain what i saw. I dont know if it has improved...

Help! my new system's FPU/ALU perf SUCKS!

OK i channed some setting that was 2Bank/4Bank of somthing..it made a little difference! humph :( Any other ideas? In running at PC100 CAS2 btw

Well that 600mb/s is what my m8 got, dunno how but he did. I am going to have to try summink, but putting my old stuff backin would be hard, i sold it ! :) Anything else to try? like help :)

Help! my new system's FPU/ALU perf SUCKS!

I just installed a new 1Ghz Athlon + 128Mb of Infineon PC133 CAs2 ram ona Soltek SL-75KV2-X motherboard. I ran SiSoft Sandra and it reports: ALU = 306mb/sec FPU = 317mb/sec when my m8 ona Duron800@950 can reach 600 area! What wrong?? Please help

OK I finally got my Athlon 1Ghz on a Soltek Sl-75KV2-X motherboard (really good btw!! Stable as hell!) I also ordered 128mb PC133 ram, over here in the UK it was called CUBE branded..well when it arrived i looked at the chips and was supprised to see the name Infineon on it (happy as well :) ) I...
