Yep ... that is again the problem. After removing one stick of 2GB Ram, my computer boots again. To be short: The HD4850/70 fix disables the 4Gb RAM fix of my previous BIOS ... Anybody got a clue wich version combines these two fixes?

F*ck me ... I just rebooted my PC... but can't get him back up ... FFS... Fans start turning but the monitor remains black... Wh*t the hell ... Somebody? P.S. It's strange because after the bios flash I had to do a restart and everything worked like a charm ... What now?

Hi. I fixed the issue, again! Whazaaaaaaaaaaaaah :-) For all you guys, having the "ARTIFACT" problems with the HD4870 or HD4850 on the 4CoreDual-VSTA mobo: The 2.33 bios seems to be working!!! For solution => see previous page in this topic. Gladly of help! Best regards, deconne.

HAHAA!!!! It works!!! BIOS 2.30a is idd registering 2 x 2gig RAM memory and even in DUAL CHANNEL. The POST says it contains 3gig and Windows XP SP2 does the same, but that doesn't bother me. I've read througout the internet that Windows 32bit systems only detect something less then 4GB...

Hey Hlafordlaes, Thx a lot m8te!!! I'm gonna try this BIOS this evening and let you know if it works! I suppose that this unoficial BIOS can't do any harm at my PC? Has this BIOS been tested yet by anyone? P.S. Hlafordlaes, thx again, you give me back hope!

Hi everyone, I yesterday bought 2 x 2GB of Corsair 6400 XMS2 TWINX DDR2 RAM to upgrade my old 2 x 512 DDR1 RAM memory modules. Guess what: I put the 4GB of Corsair RAM in the DDR2 banks, boot the PC, and get ... nothing! The monitor refuses to light up, no error beeps, no HD activity...
