The 4690k has been found to be slightly faster for gaming than the 4770k for some reason, but now that the 4790k is out I would go with that if you don't decide to go with the 5820k. BTW, for hyper-threading, I've found that each hyper-thread "core" is roughly equivalent to 25% processing...

Explain Windows to me please

Upgrade GFX

Go for latest nVidia's 9xx if you're buying now due to much lower power requirements. Also, there are the new G-Sync/FreeSync standards. Both are still very new and FreeSync has been adopted by VESA for a new standard, but G-Sync is ready now.

Planning on building a new PC for Windows 10

I would wait until Intel's Skylake comes out as there's quite a lot of new tech coming with the platform so it will make it more future proof (eg. CPU's, DDR4, SATA Express/NVMe, Thunderbolt 3, possibly new USB reversible connectors, and maybe USB 3.1 etc.)

You can use "start <path_to_executable> <parameters>" to launch a program from a batch file. Follow it with "exit" to close the batch window

I think that ReactOS is the next windows.

Nothing wrong with CD's. Some older systems won't boot from USB so there's no other option.

Recomendation for WYSIWYG web design software for Mac

Have you thought about using Markdown (GitHub flavour) or PanDoc to style your text and then use tools to convert it to the HTML ? You can include links, pictures etc. There are also some WYSIWYG tools for markdown (eg. Markdown Pad and Texts.io etc.)
