You bought a refurbished laptop that comes as a package deal at a considerable savings off of a made to order new one.
If you wanted to pick and choose everything you got you should have done what JeffreyLebowski suggested, but then of course you wouldn't have the lower price you got by...
My aspire one came with some documentation that said 1 year international travelers warranty, appears to be standard as opposed to an additional cost warranty. Might be worth looking into that at the acer website to see exactly what the terms are.
What are the specs on it? I use an Inspiron 6000 (P-M 1.86 2gig ram, 7200 rpm hd) as my secondary machine because it is plenty fast for internet and office apps and the screen resolution is really great. If you're considering this as an addition to the 2 machines you already use, I say keep it...
If I didn't already own and Aspire One, I'd get this:
http://www.amazon.com/900HA-8-...&qid=1226593678&sr=8-3
At time of posting it's only $330 shipped, leaving $ for an extended aftermarket battery upgrade.
You can also shave a few $ off the Amazon price by getting it through another...
Why not go for the Aspire one with the 6 cell battery and 160gig HD for only $50 more?
I have the Aspire one 120gig with 3 cell and am currently looking for a low priced 6 cell because the only thing my system doesn't have is great battery life.
If you plan on upgrading to the 6 cell later...
I've been watching the prices on the aspire one for the past week and jr.com didn't restock the aoa150-1570 model until after bestbuy.com sold out of theirs. Since their pricematch policy is only valid for instock merchandise you may have a difficult time getting a rep to match it, but if you...
I've really been thinking about getting this and putting xp on it right away. I talked with tech support at everex after reading that installing XP voids the warranty and was just told that any support work would have to be done after the original OS was reinstalled.
I found this after doing...
My girlfriend and I have had both at one point and I would choose the X300. The X1 has no fan and because of this it runs fairly hot. The X300 uses a standard 2.5" 9mm laptop ATA HD, but the X1 uses a 1.8" HD so it would be much more expensive to replace if you had to.
The only pro the X1 has...
I actually did speak to them on the phone Monday and then again on Wednesday. Monday I was told I would get an e-mail within 24hrs, which is why I called back on Wednesday and was told the same thing by a "supervisor".
I read through the rules to make sure a post of this nature is okay and it seems that it is so here's my story.
I purchased the Sandisk Sansa c250 2gig mp3 player through Buy.com that supposedly came with a 14day return policy and a 90 day warranty. When I began having issues with the mp3...
The standard WXGA is 1280X800 vs the 1440x900 of the WXGA+.
I have a WXGA+ screen on my D620 with 14" screen and I really enjoy it. The WXGA resolution IMO is fine on a 12" screen, but isn't that great on a larger one.
Well my zune got here today and the case I bought for it at Target sucks! It doesn't fit right at all, especially around the screen.
Radioshack had some ones marked down that are similar to the Speck rubber type cases so I ordered one in store and hopefully that will be a better fit.
