stumbled across this today, a gainward ultra 2600 goldensample 6800 ultra 256mb for 399$
compucare.com
looks very suspicious, however. resellerratings.com has them at a 3.5/10
yes, the a7n8x dlx has the lock, I think that has something to do with the nforce2 nb.
edit: while running at 3000+ speed with 396fsb, idle temps are 38 C and load is ~46 C with volcano 11 at 1/2 speed. I dont think cooling is a problem.
I have managed to get my fx5600 256mb from stock 325/500 up to 360/600. thats 10% oc on the core and 20% on the memory (stock voltages). i am very satisfied with the memory clock, but any tips on raising the core? it runs perfectly stable at 361, but 3dmark freezes at even 363 lol. i have seen...
I am having a similar problem; my 2500+ doesnt wanna hit 200fsb, but does 198 rock solid and am currently running at 3000+ 396fsb. Whenever i attempt to raise the multi .5 to hit 3200+, no boot. I have the A7N8X Deluxe (only verson 1.04 :Q) and my ram is only pc2700 but its at 2.8v with...
the 5700 is a 5900 core, but its kinda like the 9800se; it only uses 4 instead of 8 pipes. the 5700 also uses 128bit memory rather than 256 of the 5900. the 5700 is a great mainstream ~200$ card, but go for the 5900 if oyu can
isnt that the gf4 they sell at walmart.....
i would avoid running 2 things at once to control clock speeds, ie powerstrip and nvidia drivers. that caused me a lot of trouble a while back.... if nividia drivers work for ocing, just remove powerstrip
new cpu, video performance will also greatly increase.
i went from a 1.4tbird to 2800+ while keeping my gefroce 2 ti, and i gained 1000 3dmark 01 points :)
