Need recommendations for quiet psu

Hi, I've got the Enermax EG365P-VE, it's a very good PSU but I wouldn't call it very quiet. Not noisy is a better description . After a prolonged session of intense activity it's definitly far from silent. If you want a truely silent 300w PSU, AMD and P4 ready with PFC I can highly recommend...

pioneer 116 or 106

That's true, the 116 is tray and has NO digital audio out (why the hell not? duhh!!) 106 is slot feed and it has digital audio out.

Enermax 350 watt start up problems..

<< I have a Enemax 350watt #EG365P-VE(FC) Whisper...had it a week now >> Try with your old PSU again. If problem persists you know it's not the PSU. It could be the mobo.

Poll: How important is having a completely silent PC to you? How much MHz would you give up??

Don't give up Mhz, give up the AMD Don't get me wrong, I've used AMD cpu's before some of you could even say "computer". I had a 40Mhz 486DX AMD at the time that Intel's fastest cpu was 33MHz. It was a pleasure. You just had to lift the handle, take the Intel out and stick the AMD...

Nero is too smart for it's own good...

First, CDRW's will not play on most audio cd players, better pick CDR's for it. Second, if you want to burn faster you got to use the ones specially made for 8x or 10x. There's no prob with Nero. If somehow it will let you try it, you wouldn't like the results.

Sony CRX0811 CDRW - good burner?

Hi Muerto, Sony burners are very reliable, quiet and solid. The 0811 is a new improved version of the CRX140E. They have added burnproof function (anti buffer under-run system) but reduced the on board buffer from 4 to 2 Mb. I have the 140E for about a year now and I'm very happy with it...

75 GXP 45gb (READ INSIDE)

looking for the quietest CDROM drive

Hi, The Kenwood 72x and 52x are the quietest, and the fastest cdrom readers. The also have a fantastically high DAE rate. However, they are expensive, difficult to find and are lousy with CDR-CDRW media. So I agree with the TEAC choice. dervish
