monitor flickering/shaking

Sounds like your monitor is going to the crapper. Might be power problems, my monitor acts a little funny at LAN parties when we have 3 or 4 peole connected to one circuit. Buy a good 19" crt or 17"

Best headphones for about $40?

I got my Sennheiser PC-150's for $36 from Amazon.com. Best headset for under $100. If you don't want a mic, then go with the grados. Don't skimp on your headphones, if you do decide to skimp, never try on a better set and you'll never know what your missing.

Some thoughts...

Ever wonder what Iraq would be like had we not invaded it? Here are some of my thoughts... Saddam's political prisons would have never been emptied. There was no excuse for what a few of our soldiers did in Abu Ghraib. But I'd take the naked human pyramid over Sadaam's acid drip room anyday...

HELP!!! URGENT..just installed Arctic cooling revision 3 cooler and there is definite video corruption

I had the same thing happen when I jostled my stock heatsink. I just downloaded radlinker and underclocked the card a bit, and the artifacts went bye bye. Not a permenant solution mind you, I'm trying to contact powercolor for a replacement.

Loose heatsink?

Update: I underclocked my card to 276/276. It is now running the games fine, just on lower settings. Obviously this is not a permenant solution and I sent an email out to powercolor to see what they have to say. Worse comes to worst I'll buy a VGA cooler and chuck the old heatsink.

Something I've always wondered

Why are most gpu chipset on the underside of graphics cards? Seems silly to have it blowing down on your PCI cards and making a pocket of hot air. Why isn't it on the top so the back fan can exhaust it? Plus heat rises so it seems it'd be more efficient on the top. (Yes, I know you can get...

Loose heatsink?

I've had my Radeon 9800 pro for about a month now, no problems. But yesterday, I started getting artifacts on my screen. It stopped this morning and now they're back again. The artifacts only happen when the card is in 3d mode. I unplugged the monitor and plugged it back in, no difference...
