*** Official ASUS P4G8X Thread ***

I got mine for $202 from MCParts. They shipped it immediatly. Do be aware they don't know if its the std, deluxe, or gold. The description reads like the deluxe, and at least in my case, it came in as the gold. Gold = deluxe plus some dvd/mpeg bundle.

Duvie's P4 2.4b (SL6EF) C1 Review 2.4@3.06 w/ default vcore for 6hours of P95...gonna get a new Pe mobo...

Congrats!! I parted with the coin to get a C-1 2.53 from Atacomp just because I lived your fear vicariously, and then used free ground shipping to lessen the hurt. Of course now I feel the fool. Paid too much AND had to wait. sigh.... 2.88 and still going... Now I'll have to check back...

Very nice! Thanks for the tip. It appears that memory and the gods willing, a 2.66 should have no different overclock expectation (other then sheer luck of the draw) then a 2.4 C-1.

Well that explains the challenges in finding it. It does still seem to be out there in retail channels if I look hard enough. I do note they state the spd configs for that memory, and the xms 3200 are the same, while PJ's 3500 is set different. I've not checked out the samsung config yet...

Thugs: I'm buying now, would like to get the exact same memory spec's you did :) Can you tell me the corsair part numbers you used. I know its the xms 3000, but don't know if you used twinex, Low latency, etc.. Heck, I can't even fid xms 3000 on their site anymore...

Asus Vs. Gigabyte Vs. MSI

Best means may things. Most reliable, no real emphasis on overclocking #1 Intel #2 Tyan Fastest Overclock & generally reliable (but not up to the above), and supported well #1 Asus #2 Aopen (generally a tie for #2, varies by board) #2 Gigabyte

Anybody have any suggestions? So far pricewatch still shows lots of gauging going on, but I also hear of folks selling them resonably, just can't find one. Thanks. dan

I've watched Thugs, BT's, and your threads and thoughts on the 7205 for quite a while now. Just had nothing to add till now, and lots to learn. As to your mem scores, I think (and its a bit THINK, not know) corsair configs (programs logic somehow?) the spds or what I believe to be expected...
