I would say that the highest efficiency frequency is about 2.55GHz. But I am sure @The Stilt can enlighten us.
What we don't know is where is that on Total Power/Frequency graph. 0.65 normalized frequency or even less?
Edit:
In my opinion the 0.65 Normalized frequency is...
This is also my opinion. They will offer the 6C12T at a higher price level than the current 4C8T, and the new 4C8T at a lower level. What I am skeptical about is that would seem like a price increase to their respective line-ups of i7,i5,i3 even though they would offer more cores/threads for all...
If cross-CCX latency is the same as the memory's then skipping the other CCX's L3 would be the same thing. Does this mean that Ryzen 7 has an effective 8MB L3$ when more than 4 cores are used by the same program, instead of 16MB?
The R5 is the 6c/12t version.
The R3, which is the 4c/8t, if it is 4+0 (1 ccx), will not suffer the inter ccx communication limits, but I doubt it will OC much better than the R7s, due to Ryzen's process limitations.
But the case for Ryzen in games doesn't involve 100% working threads, quite the opposite. Still the framerate is capped by something else.
It is exactly the same for dual socket Xeon systems.
Of course replication is quite difficult, and if I may, not useful. You cannot go into firefights (which are the most taxing in multiplayer) and have an exact replication. That is why for CPU benchmarking the best scenario is the tabletop view as a spectator in a full conquest server in a...
