Motherboard RAID experiences?

I plan on using the motherboard?s RAID1 on the next PC I build. No idea which board at this point. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with any sort of drive failures in this environment? Either drive death or bad sectors or whatever? Thanks

Learning Sun Solaris?

I have an ultra 5 - 270MHz 256M ram 9G disk that I bought to learn Solaris. I've been happy with it. It's no rocket though :) and the IDE disk is Sloooowwww. But if you're just learning, it's fine. The only thing that I've tried that doesn't work well was loading Oracle 9.2 onto it. Oracle...

Haven't built a system in a while

So you just mix and match FSB & multiplier as fast as stability allows. PC3200 RAM becomes useful at that point. How's the onboard sound on the Shuttle? While I'm at it, what cpu coolers do you like?
