I have 512MB of RAM in my system... can I disable Virtual Memory?

I'm actually in the elite group of "1 Gig Ram" Group :) I remember when I upped from 768 to 1 gig. I was still running a 256 meg swap. Figured "WTH, might as well keep something...." and then I upped another 256 megs (whopping 88$ for me) and was like "Heck, Winbloze...

Finally going BIGTIME...

Oh yeah...forgot...I'm seriously thinking of setting up a 3rd machine and networking the 3 of them together with my Cable Modem (must...wait...a...little....longer...). So the leftover parts would go to it. Plus hey...what's wrong with setting up a Q3 Server with my potential setup? :) Dia

Finally going BIGTIME...

You're right...it is a 10x Pioneer. Looked at the front of the drive wrong. :P Also recently read that there's a better Decoder card out there than the Hollywood. Saw it in a recent MaximumPC article, but don't have it around anymore. Was around 50$ and they loved it. Dia

You first major HW disappointment?

For me...it was when I jumped from 128 megs of ram to 512 megs. Felt like I gained about 5% more performance! LOL Then I ran 3DStudio Max 2.5 a few months later. Noticed a nice jump. hehe Dia

Which card for this machine?

I'm setting up another machine out of left over stuff...here's what I have for it so far: P2-350mhz 256 megs SD PC100 2-13 gig UDMA/66 17" Panasonic Monitor SB Live! Value 56k modem other minor stuff. Only thing I don't really have for it, is a video card. So what's good for that kinda...

Needing some help here. OT post

No, this isn't any BS at all. See, we have 2 computers in the house and 2 ISP accounts. She always reads her emails in the morning before going to work. What tipped me off that something was going on, was that my ISP's email server got screwed up a couple weeks ago and sent TONS of wrong...

No, she deletes everything. She's carefull enough anymore to do it. She used to not delete everything, but now she does. As a result, I need some help here.

Put bluntly, my wife and I are getting ready to divorce. Sucks, yeah, I know. But I strongly suspect she's cheating on me and want to get some evidence on her. I know she's been sending emails back and forth to him, but I can never get them as she deletes them, from her and to him. Question...
