Crazy Gigabyte 7800GT Fan

Hi, I just bought a new system, with a single 7800GT in it. When i start up the pc after it has been off overnight (with no power to it at all) the GFX fan starts spinning like its just had an injection of adreniline, it makes such a noise that im half worried its damaging itself. Anyway...
