I have the Jabra headset (gel earbuds type) too. I don't think they're as bad as what mcharkowski said. They're not very comfortable but it doesn't hurt my ears or anything. I don't regret buying them since it's free after rebate.
The one in Time Square is really close to the Madame Toussoud's wax museum, and the theatre that shows Lion King musical and that huge cybercafe place. Hope that helps a little bit. Sorry i don't know which street that is.
