Hmm I checked my serial and it's SL456. As I looked through overclockers.com database the SL456 hit 1003Mhz max. So with my calcs 7.5*133 = 997Mhz so 6Mhz below their max recorded speed. I'm getting ancy here and just want to flip that jumper but ofcourse I'm nervouse as hell. Never manually...
Stepping is cB0,
So what do you guys think?
Should I give it a try and try booting with the pin in the 133FSB position? Or does this chip have a chance of reaching 1Ghz at all, hmmm off to overclockers.com I go.
Bob
Right you're absolutly correct. No OC capability with intel motherboards. You're right again the original VC820s did not support 133FSB. However as my manual states they went ahead and added support for the 133Mhz processors. Atleast I hope so. As for the PCI and AGP dividers I'll see if I...
Now I've heard some pretty strange stuff at lan partys and what not but this tops it all. Proof that reading a book is better then playing games on the computer, now where's that ebook.com again? :D
Ok So I'm sitting here with my Intel VC820 motherboard. No OC capabilities what so ever...Or so I thought. Here's where my question comes into play. Normally I used to do all my OC through the bios. Up in 1 MHZ increments. Too bad I blew out my mobo (don't ask ;))
But the mobo has a manual...
Ahh so true. I remember when a friend of mine got a Diamon Monster. A outstanding 8MB of video memory on a AGP 1x card. How could you go wrong with 800x600x16 lol. Ahh the good ol days. Now we see people who come on and are like "damn I'm getting 247 FPS in Quake III when someone else is...
alexandersdad I myself just purchased a LE which I thought would be OEM. But the company I ordered from just throws random ones into the box so they can't tell which one I'll get even if I rma mine. But I get my LE to 250/500 rock solid & stable. I've managed to get the memory to 260 while...

Hmm I see... Well then IMO it's dyeing and try to get a return or RMA if you can. But only if you know you physicaly didn't break it. AKA poking it with a stick is just wrong lol ;) Hope it works out for you.
Bob
Heck no, if it wants a restart it has to earn it, blue screen of death and everything right before I save a project. Then it gets the pimp & gimp smack lol
Bob
Well first you need to down to the local pron store then........ Ohh you we're just kidding :D lol Well mines been pretty nice. Haven't got any sleep since my patters are all screwed up so I have to stay up all today to fix them. Now going strong, 27 hours without sleep, 1 more to go :)
Bob
Hmm recently I started having this same problem on my HP i8100 4x2x24. With everything you said. I thought it was trashed. Made Data disks fine (i never verified) but audio was all messed up. So I bought a new I/O Magic 16x10x40 and now the problem is gone. Happy ending right? Nope, just...
