Built a new computer for school . . .I figure the money I saved building it might make it feasible to get a laptop if I so desired one.
So I built it and turn it on for the first time. The hard drive, DVD and CDRW spin up, the floppy lights up, and all the fans begin swirling. But that's about...
My system specs are:
Athlon 1G
Abit KT7
384 megs of Ram
15gb HD (75gxp)
AIW Radeon
Other than that, I don't know what you'd want. I tried using just the regular logon screen, but that doesn't fix the icon's delay at startup
Whenever I restart or turn on the computer, the welcome screen in XP stays on for a very long time. Then it procedes to log me in under the only account. But after that wait, there are no icons for another period of time. Not only do the icons not appear, but the system kind of jams when i try...
I checked everything. I turned off the acoustic manegement thing, that helped a little. But over all, the drive is still must slower than it was. Is it possible that the drive is slowly failing? Even though that SMART software said the drive was 'good' ?
I don't know what did it. The hard drive was super fast; it could transfer huge files from one parittion to anohter. But a couple of months ago I noticed that something was definetly wrong. It takes 6-7 minutes to transfer a 600-700 meg file from one parition to another. Deleting large files...
is it absolutly beyond the realm of possibility that it could be easier to have them write out the letter, get an envelope, get a stamp and have it mailed? i see no reason how it is not a valid question.
I can't remember this site, but I kinda want it. What you do is sign up and login. From there you can write letters and send them from the site. That site will then stuff advertisements in an envelope, print your letter, and mail it via snail mail to that person all for free.
Does anyone know...
I have that exact setup on my Tbird 1000 at 1.69v. At idle, it keeps it 14ºf above ambient, and under load 35ºf above ambient.
I highly reccomend this setup if you aren't planning to overclock and want a stealth system.
I got the 6035. It took a while for me to install it because it was my first hsf replacement. Anyway, installed idle temps are 75/89 (system/core in ºF) and under load, temps are 75/109. These temperatures are for a Tbird 1000mhz at 1.69 volts.
