DDR3 upgrade?

Good point, I do a decent amount of photoshop and FPS gaming. I don't benchmark or anything like that, just wasnt sure if 1333 vs OC'd 2000 memory would really be that much faster in real life. Thanks

DDR3 upgrade?

I just got a GTX760 to upgrade my system (see below). Should I get faster RAM as well and sell the stuff I have, or is that just an incremental change compared to my new video card? I use the ASUS AI suite to do a little overclocking using the wizard for performance.

Best Tablet for Citrix?

Looking for a reasonable cost tablet capable of running Citrix receiver for a work environment (hospital). The program on the VPN is a terminal based program, so not too processor heavy there. Will also need basic keyboard. Right now I like the idea* of Windows tablets for business use...

Newbie just bought a D3200...

Get off the Green mode right away and start with P, use the +/- to vary exposure. + makes the picture brighter and - makes it darker. Then read above and start asking lots of questions. Start using some photo editing software as well. Pixlr is free online and does a pretty good job.

Post 3 tips you'd give a newbie.

1- take the camera off of Green mode ASAP 2- Learn what Shutter speed, ISO, Aperture, and white balance are and how to change them. 3- Ask lots of questions. Bonus- Learn your photo editing software, all good photos need post-processing.

Can I use an Win7 Business code for Win7 home?

I bought a used laptop via CL, but I didn't realize until later that it was 32 bit. :-/ I want to add RAM and Maybe an SSD, can I use my Win Home Premium install disk for a 64 bit install and use the activation code from the Win7 Business Premium to get things going? It's not like I'm robbing...

No/rare POST! MOBO or PS??

Sorry for the big delay for all that were waiting, but the final answer was a reset of the BIOS and some patience. It turns out that the onboard LAN was bad and that needed to be replaced.

What could cause upload speed loss? Realtek on ASUS MB

Thanks for all the input! Instead of screwing around with lots of testing, I got a $20 Linksys card and now the upload is 20 Mbps! Surfing is noticably better as well. Problem solved. In reality, I should have RMA'd the 3-month old board, but this was much easier.

What could cause upload speed loss? Realtek on ASUS MB

Good thought, but no luck. I just connected my old laptop to the network cable of my desktop, turned WiFi off, and got 19Mbps upstream.... Argh. I just retested with my desktop and got 1.9 Mbps Upload. I guess I'll get a separate PCI Network Card, unless there are any other thoughts?
