Motherboard water-cooling question

Just place a fan blowing towards the stock passive heatsink would be sufficient. If the CPU is watercooled, you wouldn't get the usual draft from air cooling to the motherboard heatsink. The cheapest way would be to just have a fan blowing at it. Watercooling it will be better but that is only...

Why do I want to watercool?

That depends on where you live and your ambient temperature. If its a constant winter, there is zero benefit. Your low ambient temps does not prove that the Noctua was doing any better than watercooling as there is a 25C temperature delta, which is within the expected performance for a Noctua...

Can I replace dust filters with air purifiers ?

You can't. If the room air is totally isolated from outside, air purifiers might reduce some dust, but not eliminate them entirely. Besides, you're just shifting the cleaning to a different device. You might not have to clean the PC as often but the air purifier filter certainly needs cleaning...

Has anyone tried Swiftech H240-x

That highly depends on the porosity of the tubing used, which is usually the cause of coolant level dropping over its lifespan. If the unit is not tampered with, I'd say it would be a good year or two before a top up is needed. Even so, the top up amount would be little and cheap, readily...

Good temps or bad?

I wouldn't be so sure that AMD's software is any better. The core voltage is around 1.4-1.5V and that's pretty high and would explain the high temperatures. Also be aware that this is a 100W CPU with an anemic heatsink. You could try tweaking the core voltage to be as low as possible without...

Pump & Res 5 1/4 bay combo recommendations

How do I safely attach this fan to my VRM heatsink?

That depends on what position do you want it to be installed. You could try hot melt glue. I've used it last time when I affixed a salvaged AMD heatsink fan to a passive heatsink GPU. Shouldn't be a problem since the VRM wouldn't be hot enough to melt the glue.

It looks usable but bear in mind that it won't be the most convenient setup since the pump runs on AC and the PSU will only supply DC. It might be troublesome since the pump will still run (could be good or bad thing, depends) even if the PC is turned off. You might want to spend a little more...

Do you have a picture of the pump? The images that I could find aren't consistent on what it actually looks like. I think it wouldn't be advisable to do so since there are aquarium pumps that are submerged, which helps with the cooling of the pump unit. It would work outside but it might affect...
