There is a new BIOS out, version 1.4B1. Don't use it, HT Frequency Multiplier settings are messed up, and so is my OC after I have tried it.

It depends on what your OC will be. A good idea is to turn off Cool and Quiet in the BIOS, lower the HT multiplier (not the CPU multiplier) to 4x or 3x instead of 5x, and turn off CPU spread spectrum. After that, just OC, I suppose you know how?

Have you installed Nvidia IDE SW driver yet? If you have, uninstall it, it is what is causing the problems, or you could just disable NCQ if you have it. Mine would do this until I disabled NCQ and decided to just throw away the Nvidia drivers anyway, they suck! I would recommend not...

2655Mhz (4183+)... My OC

Failing Prime95 after seven minutes definitely isn't truely stable, it might run games and other apps fine for a while, but eventually you will get a lock-up. I would tone it down to 2600 mhz or raise the voltage a tad bit. Failing Prime95 after 12+ hours is good enough for most purposes...

After the 3rd installation, everything is about clear. When I go in the console though, sometimes it says it is missing some "actor" or something like that, but I have not noticed anything peculiar. Thanks for the help guys, I guess some of the files were dropped while I was downloading it off...

Well, I am quite surprised. I uninstalled HL2 and CS Source, then reinstalled HL2 from Steam. Now HL2 won't even run, it always ends up not responding, even before it switches from the desktop. I am going to try uninstalling and reinstalling again. To the above poster, the checkerboard...

Would Uninstalling Steam be good? I downloaded my copy of HL2 from Steam, so i guess I would just uninstall steam, and then redownload the files, correct? Or would my copy be lost?

My X800XL Bad?

The X800XL feels very smooth, I don't think there is that much of a noticeable difference between X800XT and X800XL. I am going to try reinstalling HL2, but I downloaded it from Steam, so how would that work? Uninstall and redownload?
