I have the 37inch Westinghouse and I also upgraded from a 2405FPW :) All I can say is WOW. The sreen size and fact that ir tuns 1080P are absolutley phenomenal. The COLOR/CONTRAST on this monitor are on par withe the 2405 (which was awesome). Another plus, this thing has HDCP so it is WINDOWS...
Morph, I am curious about why you never responded to the earlier posts asking why you have such hatred about NVIDIA? Everything you post tries to "rain" on NVIDIA's parade includiing your statement that the 512 GTX will probably score "9100" at default and that the Heatsink is extremely...

At the stock clocks of the 512MB GTX (550/1700) on one of the old 256MB ones yields 10K in 3dmark05. That does not include any enhancement from the extra memory and most likely an overclock...
Well here are some GTX scores in the 9400+ range. Funny that most are Dual Core although not all are "clocked to hell". In fact a couple 3800+ stock chips in there (2GHz).
NVIDIA's dual core drivers seem to be doing a good job...

I am glad you didnt shoot your self in the foot again....
It says "now available". If you would like to argue what "mass production" actually is and "available" actually mean than go for it. Also note that PDF's with specs are not always the first things up to date on a website. Who knows...

1st off: all the supposed sources you list (L'Inq, Overclockers etc) ALL originate from ONE SOURCE: that being www.hkepc.com who has mysteriously REMOVED...

Genereally "Mass Production" = available.
As far as the core goes, if they already have chips at...
or you can wait for NVIDIA's 512MB 7800GTX which should be coming soon. In fact I think it will probably be available by the time the x1800XT actually shows up in stores. That would be the smart thing for NVIDIA to do :)
My guess is that those two instances (COD2 and FEAR) where the x1800XT...
I would agree with everyone here get the 7800GT. ANd IMHO even if they were the same price, I would get the GT. Only if the XL was cheaper would it be worth it. Horrible OpenGL performance is not for me, I want my Quake4, Prey and next gen wolfenstein thank you very much.

I have read this topic on several forums and it was brought up that the new Unreal Engine does make use of this feature. There was some news item in fact months ago (before the G70 or r520 were released) where Tim Sweeney at Epic was saying that the NVIDIA card's would render the new unreal...
you have got to be kidding me. The Dell 2405FPW is readily available and extremely popular here. And that is 1920x1200. No way I would subject that to crossfire's limitations. And for the CRT users out there...ouch!
Turtle your statements are ALL based on speculation. Unless you work in NVIDIA's labs you know absolutely nothing. Note that NVIDIA has one of the biggest engineering teams out there. Saying they will be out of the game is the absolute worst bet you can make.
Another thing, NVIDIA's new beta...
I would say most dual cores don't clock that well. But given the cold they can get to within 5-10% the clockspeed of a single core overclock. And with 15-25% (and theoretically more) increases due to drivers and software, they WILL surpass single core. I agree however, besides the 3800+ X2's...
