I have a spare Core 2 Duo (E4500) and a spare Intel D915GAV motherboard (http://reviews.cnet.com/motherboards/intel-desktop-board-d915gav/4507-3049_7-30960808.html) lying around. Is there any chance of them working together? The board came out long before the CPU did. It'll physically fit...
In Outlook, you can mark messages with colour categories and a follow-up flag. When you change the flag to 'complete,' it clears the colour as well. Is there a way to clear the flag without clearing the colour (I use it to sort my messages). I.e. keep the function of the two items independent.
Are modern theatres equipped with these decoders (along with DTS HD Master Audio)? I have yet to see a TrueHD trailer before a movie starts. But then again, I don't visit the cinema very often. If yes, then is the sound data still recorded between the film sprocket holes the same way as plain...
I have an older Panasonic AE700. AFAIK, there doesn't seem to be an internal upscaling circuit (I bought the Japanese model and am still grappling with the non-English menus...)
As for kalrith's response, the projector contains three native 1280x720 LCD chips :)
I have a 720p video projector w/ HDMI input. Which video processing option below gives the best quality with just regular DVDs? (ignoring cost, and also assume that I won't watch a Blu-ray disc for a few more years)
1. An upconverting DVD player
2. My Macbook's DVD drive and VGA output (i.e...
Thanks guys. Went out to the local dept store and turns out they had Monster composite video cable on sale for only $2.99 (Cdn). That's a cheap price to pay for piece of mind :)
I've always used cheap stereo RCA cables to connect the digital coax output from my DVD player to home theatre receiver, without noticing any quality issues. I'm shopping around for a "dedicated" cable for this purpose, but I'm wondering if I'll actually notice a difference? What kind of signal...
Recently found a brand new joystick in my old hardware stash. Apparently I thought I would use it one day.
Anyway, what are some good yet not-difficult flight sims or flying games? Just want to have some fun with this thing.
I have a dual-boot Tiger and XP setup on my Macbook (first gen), and I realize that I never use XP on it anymore. How do I safely get rid of that extra partition and reclaim precious space (on the tiny 60GB drive)?
I have an old Audigy ES (not SE) and an X-Fi Xtreme Audio (essentially an Audigy). Which one is the better card to throw into a spare PC I have lying around?
Just want to use it as a music player in my room. Which card has the better analog audio circuitry and sound quality? Will hook it up...
I've had this drive for a number of years now and have been very happy with it. Just too small now. How does it stack up against today's WD Caviar Blacks and Seagate 7200.12s? How about the 150GB and 300GB Velociraptors?
