Bing terms of use say that you will not receive cash back if you use discounts, does the EPP count as a discount? BTW how is the HD4530 at gaming?

Am I nuts to think I can build my own PC?

Your build looks good. Get rid of the CD burner as the DVD burner will also burn CD's. Maybe get an EVGA video card so you can step up to the 8 series later on. Or if you can afford it now, get an 8800gts for $270 after rebate. I don't know about a floppy drive, I have never had the need for...

XP on (slightly) older hardware, tips?

I am running XP pro on a 300mhz PII thinkpad with 228mb ram, 12gb hd. Runs fine, just get rid of all the stuff you don't need (read above). All I use it for is wireless web surfing and it does it all fine.

try booting with 1 stick of ram and no rom drive. try booting with your ram in different slots. Other than that I think the board is defective. make sure to read the manual front and back.

Does anyone have a link to the guy who put LED's or CCFL's behind his LCD?

My friend was telling me about how someone on here put either a strip of LED's or Cathodes behind his LCD monitor, so it would glow onto the back of the wall at night. If anyone can link me to it that would be great. I tried seaching and found nothing. Thanks

Computer will not turn on

Turn off the PSU, hit the power button a few times to discharge any power in the computer. Wait 10 minutes then try again. If that still doesn't do it pull everything out and hook it all up on a bench. Mobo, CPU, HSF, Video Card, 1 stock of ram and the PSU. Just to make sure the motherboard...

Computer will not turn on

I really have no clue, but clearing th cmos has always fixed any problems I've had. One time while my old computer was on I accidentally moved a wire around and the exposed end from the PSU hit the case, resulting in a big spark and the computer instantly turning off. I couldn't get it to boot...
